Role reporting to the Group Data Protection Officer, who reports himself to the Corporate Secretary. Scope of intervention: all GEODIS activities worldwide The HQ data protection team relies on a network of data protection correspondents in Regions, Lines of business and functions. These correspondents are not dedicated to the protection of personal data (DP) and ensure first-level answer for the missions described below. This role will bring support to the DP correspondents on a second level. This role works and collaborates with all Group functions (notably legal, HR, procurement, IT including IT security, marketing and sales, innovation, business development, etc.) and all levels (mainly HQ, Regions and Lines of business) Mission The role will assist the DPO and the data protection network in all missions: Be the organization's point of contact to inform and advise on matters related to DP Promote a culture of data protection and compliance across all units of the organization Monitor the compliance of the organization with DP regulations Ensure the documentation of data processing for proper accountability Main functions under the authority of the data protection officer Advising and bringing expertise Provide expert advice and educate employees and management on the protection of personal data Participate to all kind of projects to ensure privacy by design Develop strategies and initiatives to ensure engagement with key stakeholders. Training and raising awareness Develop, arrange and deliver training (e-learning, in-presence, webinar, etc.) on DP to staff members and managers who are involved in data handling all over the Groupe. Standards and procedures Draft new and update existing internal data protection policies, guidelines, and procedures, in consultation with key stakeholders Monitor adaptation to local privacy laws in coordination with local correspondents Follow up with changes in law and major sanctions in order to issue recommendations Relations with clients, vendors or partner on data protection matters Capacity to review and draft legal clauses in contracts or DP agreements to adapt standards or review partner models (for any processing with a DP risk) Liaise with the internal process owner and the third-party data controller or processor to identify the best approach (data controller, joint controller, processor…) and advise accordingly Risk management and mitigation Help identify and evaluate the company's data processing activities, notably those with higher risk Providing advice and instructions on how to conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) Evaluate and monitor the compliance with DP standards Prepare, launch, monitor and analyze the self-assessments to evaluate the existing DP framework and identify areas of no- or partial compliance Design and implement new approaches to monitor compliance Monitor action and coordinate correspondents

Education and experience • University degree or law degree in a relevant topic (data protection, privacy, compliance, ethics, IT security, etc) • 3 - 6 years' experience within a compliance, legal, audit and/or risk function, with recent experience in DP compliance. • Experience in developing policy and compliance training. • Hold at least one Data Protection and/or Privacy certification. Skills - Process oriented - Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with the appropriate discretion. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Fluent in French and English (written and oral); other languages welcome - Organizational skills - Proficiency with PC softwares for memos, presentations and reports (word, powerpoint, excel) - Solid knowledge of EU GDPR and national data protection laws - Knowledge of information technology, security systems and data management systems. - Ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firm. - Change and project management skills, including the ability to manage time well, prioritize effectively, and handle multiple deadlines. - Some international travel may be required occasionally The statements contained in this position description are not necessarily all-inclusive; additional duties may be assigned and requirements may vary from time to time
