The project portfolio covers forward and reverse genetics approaches aiming to understand the nature of traits of interest, develop molecular tools and ensure FTO within the context of the use of those traits within a breeding program. As a scientist you will participate to the maize portfolio projects from their conceptualization / initiation phase to the delivery of molecular tools for selection or specific genetic information on a trait of interest (such as genetic/genomic mapping intervals definition and associated diagnostic markers development). In the frame of your mission, you will interact with Trait and Breeding Technologies teams, and you will provide scientific support to the maize breeding teams and work in close interaction with the maize trait coordinator. You will report to the Marker Development and Genomic Resources platform lead.

Profile required: PhD in genetics / genomics with at least 3 years of experience in project management A previous experience in projects related to molecular genetics, bio-analysis and genomics and a good knowledge in plant or animal breeding is a plus You are recognized for your excellent interpersonal skills and would like to work in a dynamic team with a high impact in breeding technologies You are curious and driven by innovation You master French and English both oral and written. Position based in Chappes, near Clermont-Ferrand (63).
