As the Process, Tools & Project Management Officer (PPMO) for A350 harness engineering, you will be responsible for:
• Optimizing our engineering processes, identifying improvement opportunities, and implementing the associated actions.
• Managing the processes related to harnesses and Design Query Notes (DQNs).
• Ensuring effective communication and interaction between engineering and manufacturing.
• Deploying, supporting, and improving tools and processes in relation to the teams in France and Germany as well as the client.
Your main activities will include:
• Assisting the Chief Engineer with budgeting, planning (milestones and reviews), workload plans, reports, and critical issues.
• Ensuring the proper application of processes and methods.
• Specifying/validating tools, ensuring their proper functionality, and maintaining consistency with Airbus tools.
• Measuring overall performance (lost time, non-productive time).
• Monitoring elements of evolution, compliance, DQNs, and supporting associated actions.
• Providing support to the program and manufacturing on engineering topics.
• Collecting data, complaints, and feedback on processes and tools to identify improvements.
These activities will be capitalized on and also put into perspective to prepare future processes and engineering tools for the upcoming single-aisle program as part of Safran Electrical & Power's “NExT” plan.
As a PPMO, you will represent the Harness team and the Processes and Tools (P&T) teams at the steering committee. You will also be the client's focal point on all topics related to engineering processes and tools. You will primarily interact with the following stakeholders:
• Members of the SES central engineering team.
• Plateau (Hamburg & Toulouse) and SES section leaders.
• SES plateau focal points.
• IS team.
• Process and tools focal points within the plateau organization.
- Proactive, good communication, organized, and good relationship skills.
- 8 years of experience in the aerospace industry and/or engineering activities.
- Good technical knowledge of the aerospace industry (Airbus).
- Good knowledge of project management principles, engineering, and manufacturing activities.
- Good knowledge of tools and processes used on the A350 fuselage.
- Fluent in English
